About Jason

I've spent my life learning trades: the kind you do with your hands and the kind you do at a keyboard.

Many workbenches

I served in the US Marine Corps. I've tended bar, performed as a magician, framed pictures and built cabinets and furniture. Along the way I learned my way around a house: electrical, plumbing and most of the jobs in between. Bartending taught me to read a room. Magic taught me how attention gets steered, which turns out to be most of social engineering.

Twenty-plus years in security

I was in the first class of PCI Qualified Security Assessors, and I hold a master's in Information Assurance & Security. Today I'm co-founder and CTO of StrategiHub, which builds compliance, AI and automation systems from offices in Temecula, the Netherlands and Ghana. I also lead technology at StrategiAgro Consult in Accra, I'm co-founder and CTO of Intuitive Legal, software for law firms, and with my son I run InnerPortal, a home for musicians, artists and makers. More on the work.

Why everything has a number

I run a lot at once, so I run it like a system. I'm Project 0, the operator. Health, my kids, my marriage, my family, my businesses and my home each get a number and are tracked the same way: goals, milestones, tools and a log. Like process 0 on a computer, I'm the scheduler. When I run down, everything slows, which is why health is 001.

Some projects stay private. My kids and my marriage are on the list because they matter most, not because they're content. I've been married 26 years, and my wife is my project manager in life.

I'm Indo, Dutch-Indonesian. My dad was born in the Netherlands.
